Mexico for Mozambique

M-CC (Music - a Chance for Change), together with "Los Misioneros Combonianos del Corazón de Jesús" presented a concert on the 23rd of December 2005 in Cuernavaca Morelos, Mexico.  The donations collected went directly to the work of Pater Victor Hugo García in Iapala Mozambique, who was present.  He introduced the audience to the Alphabetization project he is working on in different villages in Mozambique in which over 200 adults and 600 children are learning to read and write.  Theresia Bothe was the soloist of the concert.

This concert was made possible through the work of many volunteers.  A special thanks goes to the "Frailicum" ensemble for baroque music.

The first part of this M-CC project was organized in Switzerland and called "ich kann lesen... " (I can read...).  There were 2 concerts during which Theresia Bothe, accompanying herself with lute and guitar, presented the project in Mozambique.  The concerts were made possible through the generous support of the "Evangelisch-reformierte Kirche" in Pratteln and the Catholic Church in Weinfelden.  Special thanks to Hedy Stalder who organized the events and Migrokulturprozent for sponsoring these concerts

                  That is all

There is an extraordinary world

   we are in it

you – me – it – we –all

all is more than just images

or sounds

                    all is

all is where we come from

                                and where we go

and we are in it

            surrounds all the world

all the world surrounds

            all surrounds the world

the world all surrounds

and we are in it

How much can I see?

       can I see?

        to see

Have we learned to see?

If I open my eyes what will I see?

           do I see all?

and we are in it

         I will walk lightly

         take my shoes off

 my makeup and my clothes

             I will walk

          to encounter all

           with nothing

       nothing is too much

          I will stand still

           open the door

                 all can come in

                 all can leave

  the breeze will flow

I will build the bridge

    there is no door

        that is all
